There was a Limonata in the fridge for a few weeks, so we drank it. Together!

Photo by Sam Sherman Andy & I were feeling “Angel” so hard, we had to take an iPod break to hear it just one time. Later on I locked myself in the bathroom to hear the first two minutes again. Then, when we were leaving, I got one last listen on the stoop while people put on their coats and gathered their umbrellas.

At first a startling high note of natural sugar, then a complex flavor adventure to come. I found Steaz Green Tea Soda’s root beer flavor to be a most excellent beverage. Not your average heavy rootbeer, but surprisingly light and refreshing in these late october days. I give it 2 thumbs up.

If I had to make up a mascot for a new Denver sports team it’d be the Denver Large Plastic Food Containers.

There is a transit system that runs THROUGH the conference center. That’s pretty cool.

Alice Twemlow, former 801a-er, gave a spirited and convincing talk about the new MFA program she’s starting at SVA.

I ate a tuna sandwich yesterday that made me feel not great.

They had hors d’oeuvres at the mixer after the talks tonight where they served terrific vegetables on a stick. Teddy Blanks, of Winterhouse, and I enjoyed a great many. Teddy got so excited about the mushroom spring rolls that he dropped one on the floor in his excitement. A middle-age lady bartender asked us if we’d ever gotten REALLY drunk before going to work. Then she told us that they weren’t allowed to put the tip jar on the bar and that she was never bartending at this shitty conference center again.
