2008 is here, and we’re happy about it! A year of nail art awaits us.

Gossip girl:
9:15: I am realizing that Blair is somewhat reminiscent of Winona Ryder in Heathers. Except Blair is also Heather.
Jeff: I really want an apartment with floor to ceiling windows. That’s my new obsession. Have you ever seen Match Point? That’s what I want.
9:25: Jeff: The little girl (Jenny) looks cute. My roommate works at TV Guide. He says she’s only, like, 13.

Apparently a new show called “The Shot” has emerged on VH1. It’s like Project Runway for fashion photography. The winner gets a campaign in Marie Claire. The discussion has become extremely fashion specialized at this point in our group. Jeff and Alexa are now looking through a book about great fashion stylists and discussing who should have been included and excluded.
10:29 Jeff: They’re going to get rid of some of those gay muscle guys. There’s only room for one in the show.
Jeff: The frightening thing is how similar they all look to Real World characters.

Jeff: Oh my god. That girl is from Elite. Carlos sent me that girl. I have her card here.

Jeff: Volume is in? Volume was in 3 seasons ago!
Alexa on Elisha: Let me tell you, the whole season is going to look like that dress. I’ve seen her dresses and they all look like that.

Simone was eliminated. In the previews for next week, Jillian definitely copped some ‘tude. Here we go!

Why does this constitute television history? Because Ms. Jillian Lewis is one of the few fashion students I was actually friends with at Parsons. After losing my job in front of a camera crew (Jane folded on The Fashionista Diaries) and finding out I have a cousin who not only lives in New York but is also gay (Queer Eye for the Straight Guy), life and reality tv intersect once again.
