Five months in the making, the Tusk documentary has arrived

That’s right. A full on bootleg DVD of the legendary and rare “Making of Tusk” documentary—entitled simply, elegantly, “Fleetwood Mac”— has finally arrived. After searching through every independent video store in NY, the Bobst library, the internet, I was finally able to get it off some ghetto auction site called Epier.

Seriously. Screening next week. I watched the first 10 seconds to make sure it worked and I was already spellbound.

Andrew Sloat has a party; Fleetwood Mac makes a guest appearance

Andrew’s party was fancier than fancy soda friday. It was like this: take Fancy Soda Friday, add cocktails, vegan-friendly treats, hors d’oeuvres, a brownstone with three floors and two bathrooms, a house full of guests and lively chatter (not muffled by bothersome music), and call it a night to remember. The theme was Congestion Pricing. Andrew requested that we bring our EZ Passes, and we happily obliged.

Photo by Sam Sherman Andy & I were feeling “Angel” so hard, we had to take an iPod break to hear it just one time. Later on I locked myself in the bathroom to hear the first two minutes again. Then, when we were leaving, I got one last listen on the stoop while people put on their coats and gathered their umbrellas.

Never Change, Never Stop

Andy Pressman had a holiday party. After latkes and eggnog and a capella Christmas carol karaoke, we learned that in 2008, like latter-day 2007, the Fleetwood Mac labyrinth will remain an unbroken chain. Shit has perhaps gotten too deep. Who will play Lindsey Buckingham in the biopic?
